Ted
Mirkhani, MBA, LNHA
President and Chief Executive Officer
Ted Mirkhani is President and Chief Executive Officer of
Cambridge Healthcare, LLC a company he founded in 2000. As a Licensed Nursing
Home Administrator he brings 20+ years experience in all facets of the
healthcare industry. He has a Masters Degree in Business Administration - Global
Management from Fairleigh Dickenson University.
As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mirkhani has developed and operated Cambridge
Healthcare from inception as a fledgling company to the successful health care
management and consulting firm it is today. He has strategically engineered
Cambridge Healthcare’s entire financial and operational systems and has guided
the company from being a single facility operator to a company with 7 management
contracts in both NY and NJ and numerous consultation contracts in the tri-state
area.
Mr. Mirkhani has advantageously maneuvered
Cambridge Healthcare through an assorted range of business
matters. He is directly responsible for identifying and
pursuing new acquisitions and business development. He has
lead both Cambridge Healthcare and the owners in which he
serves through strategic partnering and business mergers,
new facility acquisitions, financing and re-financing,
obtaining venture capitol and the development and
implementation of innovative business programs.
In the post acute service industry Mr.
Mirkhani has earned a reputation as a professional who can
correct deficient facilities and enhance the quality of care
and quality of life of the residents. He is on the N.J.
Department of Health and Senior Services list as a receiver
and temporary manager for troubled and underperforming
facilities. Under Mr. Mirkhani’s tutelage the facilities in
which Cambridge services have experienced excellent and
deficiency free surveys with Federal and State
inspections. He provides direct oversight of all Cambridge
Healthcare services and the hallmark of his management
philosophy is that he never has forgotten his roots. Mr.
Mirkhani leads by example and works along with all of the
facilities for which Cambridge manages or consults and is
seen frequently at the facilities on the units making rounds
and troubleshooting.

Kathy Connerty, RN
Executive V. P. and C.O.O.
Kathy Connerty
joined the Cambridge Team in July of 2001 and contributes
30+ years experience in the post acute service arena. As a
highly respected executive, her management experience
includes serving the industry with tenures as Executive V.P.
and Chief Operating Officer, V.P. of Clinical Operations,
Consultant and in various positions in Nursing
Administration. As an established Director of Nursing for 15
years in New Jersey and Washington, D.C. she had amassed
many excellent and deficiency free surveys.
As the Chief Operating
Officer with Cambridge Healthcare, Ms. Connerty provides
financial, clinical and overall operations support and
administration. Ms. Connerty’s range of responsibility
includes Medicare, Medicaid and other post acute payment
reimbursement, Human Resource utilization and management,
Risk Management compliance, and Federal and State regulatory
compliance.
Ms. Connerty is knowledgeable
of the Prospective Payment System and Consolidated Billing
management, participates in all aspects of Medicare
reimbursement, Medicaid Screen control, budgeting and cost
containment. Understanding the complex issues surrounding
post acute payment systems she has developed and implemented
programs assisting facilities to maximize reimbursement
while maintaining program integrity.
Her understanding of and
experience with the regulatory process has enabled her to
consult with underperforming facilities assisting them with
crisis management and many State imposed Directed Plans of
Correction and Directed In-service Education remedies. Ms.
Connerty specializes in facility assessment including Mock
Surveys and Quality Indicator reviews, Quality Assessment
and Improvement programs as well as development of
corrective action plans in all clinical care and operational
service areas with emphasis on implementation of systemic
remediation approaches.
Through her Human Resource
utilization and management skills she has assisted
facilities with the development and implementation of
programs to effectively contain staffing costs while
maintaining quality care provision. She is well versed in
budgeting, payroll, benefit administration, recruitment and
retention of staff, workplace conduct, discipline, labor
relations, human resource development, and staffing and
scheduling.
Utilizing a “hands on”
approach, Ms. Connerty is a recognized leader and manager
whose leadership abilities have enabled her to unite,
motivate and inspire staff to peak performance. She has a
proven track record for operations improvement elevating
standards of care and practice, increasing productivity and
containing costs. She provides education in all areas of
operations and has been engaged as a speaker for NJDONA,
PANPHA and other organizations on the east coast.
Deborah
Ann Condorelli
Vice
President, Finance
Ms. Condorelli brings over 17 years of healthcare experience
to Cambridge Healthcare. She has extensive experience in
human resources, employee benefits, payroll and accounts
payable. After 10 years as a Director of Admissions and
Finance her specialty is her in depth understanding of the
admissions process and its relationship to overall corporate
finance.
She is an expert in Medicare, Medicaid and third party
reimbursements, is a Certified ICD9CM and CPT coder, a
former member of the CMS Skilled Nursing Facility Provider
Education and Training Advisory Group, was a member of the
HIPPA task force. She actively participated in JACHO and
state deficiency free surveys.
Ms. Condorelli encourages open communications and synergy
between all departments to maximize productivity
and resident care.
Ms. Laura Maggio
Vice President, Marketing and Korean Services
Ms. Maggio is
a marketing/public relations professional with over fifteen years
experience in the healthcare industry. Her experience includes
census development, niche marketing, business development, public
and community relations, crisis management, event planning, and
fundraising. Laura has worked in the private and public sector
of healthcare as well as with many diverse populations.
Ms. Maureen Schloerb,
RN.C.
Vice
President, Clinical Operations
Ms. Schloerb is a
graduate of Holy Name Hospital School of
Nursing and Fairleigh
Dickenson University Legal Nurse Consultant program. She has 26
years of nursing experience. Maureen is a Board Certified Gerontological nurse. Her areas of expertise include Risk
Management and Quality Improvement. Maureen is proficient
in
medical record reviews, psychotropic drug usage audit, fall prevention and implementation of pain management. Maureen’s
philosophy is to provide a positive support structure while working
with facilities to meet Federal and State Regulatory Compliance.
She is a member of the American Nurse’s Association, NADONA and
ANJDONA.
Ms.
Betty Simpson, Regional RN
Regional Nurse Manager
Ms. Simpson
has 30 years experience in the State of NJ as a nurse in long term
care. She specializes in staffing, staff development, and
scheduling. Betty has been instrumental in restructuring policy and
procedures making them more efficient and user friendly enabling
staff compliance. Betty has been called to facilities to serve as
interim DON/ADON. She has been a DON for the past four years and
accomplished a deficiency free survey. As a member of
the American Nurses Association, NADONA and ANJDONA, Betty
keeps up to date on the current issues in nursing and
educates accordingly.

Ms. Toni Swick, RN.C., CDON - Regional RN
Ms. Swick brings
with her 40+ years of experience to our healthcare team. Ms.
Swick’s experience started in ICU, CCU and Emergency
Medicine, but her passion for the elderly has driven her to
succeed by promoting high standards of care, upgrading
practices and to react to new developments through
education. Under her guidance she has achieved 5 deficiency
free state surveys and has received
a 5 star quality of care rating from the National Elder Care
Referral Systems. Toni has partnered with the New Jersey
Department of Health and Senior Services to provide
education throughout the state. Some of her most recent
seminar’s for DON’s and ADON’s has been wound care protocol,
The ABC’s of MDS, RUGS, electronic submission and QI/QM
reports. She has developed and implemented Medication
Programs for LPN’s. Toni has been recognized by NJDONA for
Excellence in Nursing Recognition, Specialty Nurse of the
Year, and also received the President’s Award. Toni has been
included in the 2005 Edition of Who’s Who Registry of
Executives and Professionals. She has developed and
continues to instruct all new DON’s for NJDONA “DON Boot
Camp”. Toni is also a member
of the NJDONA Executive Board Committee.
